Registration of Aircraft & Mortgages
The CAA is responsible for maintaining the Maldivian register of civil aircraft and any mortgages associated with them. A copy of the register can be downloaded from here.
The same general procedure must be followed for changes to the registration. Upon receipt of an application we will re-register the aircraft, or advise the applicant of any other actions that are required, within the time-scales specified in our Code of Practice. The other actions that are required may vary, and for example we may require the current registered owners to confirm in writing that they have transferred the aircraft. For name changes, address changes and replacement certificates, application shall be made on Form CA71.
The form must be signed by an Authorised Signatory of the registered owner, usually at director or company secretary level.

The form should be accompanied by a certified copy of the mortgage deed and the appropriate fee. If you are submitting the certified copy as a scanned document please ensure that the copy of the mortgage is certified before it is scanned. When you submit the scanned version please confirm in the text of the email that the accompanying mortgage deed is a true copy.
If you are submitting the certified copy as a scanned document please ensure that the copy of the deed of discharge is certified before it is scanned. When you submit the scanned version please confirm in the text of the email that the accompanying deed of discharge is a true copy.
